About the Event

Pollywogs Preschool: Where Children Nurture a Love of Learning

Practicing the ethos of Circle of Security, this program is intended to explore the relationship between your child and their independant play space. With the option of having their caregiver on site, they can expand their boundaries of exploration at a comfortable pace and in their own time.

Each child has a unique sense of safety and confidence spending time away from their parents and loved ones as they learn to trust and ground into a new environment with new educators and other children.

Watching for signs of secure attachment, when/if children over age 2 are comfortable staying independently from their caregivers, they are welcome to be under the supervision and guidance of our educators for the duration of our session.

This is also is a group space to connect with other families who also wish to spend more time together in nature.

Each session will have invitations into play, however, the flow of our time will largely be directed by the children, the weather and any other serindipitous inspirations that the land offers.

Rainbow Forest Gardens is rich with birds, frogs, plants, hills for climbing, trees for shade and a beautiful plot of permacultre garden space to enjoy and interact with.

As a faciliator, I will offer themes and topics for the group that deepen our connection to our children, share our thoughts and feelings on how we can, as families and community members serve the growth and development of our tiny humans into wise and resilient youth. May we all thrive while grounded in the natural world and rooted in Love.

This program offers child-led curriculum with opportunities to:

· Build relationships with nature through explorative play

· Culivate emotional literacy and resilience building skills

· Express themselves creatively through place-based art

· Foster a healthy involvement in peer-centered community
