Ivan Arevalo is the Founder of the Seeds of Life Alliance.
Ivan has travelled in Canada and all over the world learning about Perma-culture and sustainable solutions to negative environmental impacts. He has his permaculture design certificate and has worked since 2011 on many projects at home and abroad, some these projects include:
Earth-ship design and build.
Greening the Desert.
The Forks Orchard.
Rainbow Forest gardens design and build.
Manitoba Youth corrections garden programs
Ivan has a deep desire to continue to search for ways to help his community both locally and globally, to create unique solutions to global food scarcity issues and continue to grow in his mission to create a network of organizations, businesses, and people who are committed to planet stewardship and building resilient systems that will pass on to our next generation.
Leah Smith has over 15 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings. From large early learning centers to private family child care, she brings the love of nature and the passion for the outdoors to those around her.
Leah is an ECE II, Forest School Practitioner and parent of two wild children. She now aims to expand her work in this field by sharing her education and experience with groups and individuals, offering a holistic approach to teaching children and supporting the adults in their lives.
Nature- Ally Learning is one of her entrepreneurial efforts to serve this city and her passion for nature-based personal development.
Kris Garner is the founder of the Emotional Literacy Movement.
With nearly two decades of experience and training in the field of education, Kris Garner develops and delivers holistic programming that combines neuroscience with mindfulness, art, movement, and land-based practices, providing students with research-based tools and skills to live a happier and more balanced life.
She is passionate about emotional literacy and nurturing trauma-resiliency amongst youth and the extended community.
